It is important for everyone to know the root cause of acne. Acne is mainly believed to be caused by hormonal changes in the body and bacteria on the skin. These are the two most known reasons of acne whereas dirt and poor hygiene is sometimes also held responsible for acne. In this topic we will discuss about poor hygiene and its relation with acne and try to find that whether poor hygiene is a cause of acne or not.

It is a general statement that dirt or poor hygiene has no relation with causing acne. This statement is true because poor hygiene and acne has been studied by many scientists and found no alarming situation which led to acne due to poor hygiene. Hygiene is important in all cases whether acne or not. Washing your face at least 2 times a day helps to cleanse your face. It also keeps the dirt off your face and keeps your face fresh and lively. Do not over wash your face as it can cause irritation on the skin. Always wash your face with a mild soap and rinse the soap properly to avoid dryness on skin.

Benzoyl Peroxide and Salicylic Acid Can Help Prevent Acne

acnenomoreWithout treatment, acne can leave permanent traces on the face and other parts of the body. But what is really acne? What are the causes and how can you reduce the effects of them? Acne is a cutaneous disorder caused by an obstruction of the pores which will allow the proliferation of bacteria under the skin, whose pustules are the external symbols you will see.

Acne is related on testosterone: when the rate is too high, the quantity of sebum increases on your skin. Other factors like sweat, the sun, the thickness of the skin or chlorine can also be the cause about it.

It is not impossible to cure acne and know that one can suffer from it at any age. The two most known treatments for curing acne are benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. They both help you to reduce the thickness of the skin but have different operating processes. Benzoyl peroxide attacks directly the bacteria responsible for the acne while penetrating deeply under the skin.

Its principal disadvantage is that it may be irritating and may need to be used with very weak concentrations of about 2.5%. As for salicylic acid, it can be used if your skin does not support benzoyl peroxide and it is commonly applied in weak concentrations of about 2%.

Even on these levels of concentration, these two products are very effective. In addition to them, dermatologists can prescribe treatments containing antibiotics or accutane which is a derivative of vitamin A.

But in essence benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are two very useful methods of fighting bacteria and preventing pimples. They are commonly used and will work for most people. While these are over-the-counter products, they work just as well as high-end or more intensive treatments like accutane.

As a preventive tool, benzyol peroxide and salicylic acid are very good for killing daily bacteria and removing excess sebum. Using them regularly will do wonders for your skin.

Apart from using natural acne treatments at home, it is recommended that you should invest in a good benzoyl peroxide soap for daily use. This should help prevent acne and cure existing pimples.

Tip For Fighting Acne – Keep Hands Away From the Face!

acnenomoreEven when individuals with acne refrain from squeezing acne lesions, unless they are careful to keep their hands off their faces, acne symptoms can worsen. Unwashed hands hold bacteria that can easily spread from the hands to the face. Even clean hands can spread bacteria when they touch bacteria-infected acne lesions.

The bacteria is transferred onto the hands and then onto the face or body. Because many people habitually rest their chins on their hands, people with acne must make a conscious effort to avoid doing this. When the dermatologist told me to keep my hands off my face, I had to work at it. I was surprised how often I touched my face. It’s not something you think about until the doctor tells you to. It’s not easy to stop either.

But I don’t want new zits all over my face, so I really watch myself. This is something that we often overlook when we are trying to heal acne. While we may have the perfect diet and use the best medication, little physical actions like putting your hands on your face will cause bacteria to accumulate and inflammations to worsen. This will make it more difficult for anti-acne medication to work because it constantly has to deal with dirt in the environment being transferred from your hands to your face.

Here are some quick tips on how to avoid touching your hands.

Put up a post-it note where you can see it, telling yourself not to touch your face. This is really helpful if you work in an office environment or at home because you’ll be able to remind yourself all the time. Remember to change the post-it note every now and then so you won’t get too used to it and ignore the message.
Keep tissues around you. Always travel with tissues in your pocket and learn to use them when you feel that itch to touch your face. This prevents bacteria from coming directly in contact with your skin.
Ask for help. If you live with someone, ask him or her to watch you as you go about your daily chores. Tell them to tell you to stop touching your face whenever they see you doing it. Trust me, it really helps a lot. After a while you will be conditioned to not touch your face when you’re not aware of it.
Keep your hands clean! This is quite simple but often overlooked. Use hand sanitizers whenever possible to ensure that no dirt gets on your hand. And wash your hands every time after you eat or come in contact with public surfaces like elevator doors or railings.

If you follow these tips it should really help you to prevent acne from forming unnecessarily. Not touching your face will save you a lot of headaches in the long run, especially if you’ve been trying to heal acne for a long time but nothing seems to work. This is a simple trick that’ll help you considerably in your fight to prevent acne.

Clearing Skin and Getting Rid of Acne

acnenomoreDo you find acne is taking control of your face? All over the world there many people that battle with this condition, this condition is most commonly known as acne vulgaris. Acne vulgaris is a condition that effects all types of people in various age groups. This condition is triggered by a hormonal imbalance which causes oil to secrete from the skin blocking the pores of your skin thus leading to what we know as acne. In this article I will go over what you can do to get rid of acne quickly and permanently.

As we know that acne is cause by dirt and bacteria caused by the oil secreting from your skin, it’s very important to insure your skin is kept clean throughout the day. Simply insuring that you wash your face 5 times a day won’t cut it. What you need is a specialised ointment to wash your face that doesn’t grease you skin, as well as a facial scrub such as an exfoliator for example. These type of products are easily available in your local health and beauty store.

Please remember that in order to get rid of your acne you have to make sure you choose the right lotion for your type of skin. Some lotions can irritate your skin if you are too sensitive and lead to making your acne worse, so remember to carry out the necessary research beforehand. Fortunately most products available let you know what type of skin the lotion in question should be used for, follow those guidelines and everything should be fine. I would advise researching different lotions and ointments on the net for reviews from people that have used a certain product. This way you insure that money is well spent and you purchase the most effective treatment in getting rid of your acne effectively.

Before embarking on your journey for a lotion, take the time to visit a dermatologist. A dermatologist can point you in the right direction and in some cases provide you with a prescription lotion that is usually more effective than what can be purchased in store. Sticking to a schedule and following the guidelines listed on lotions and advised by dermatologist will lead to you getting rid of acne permanently and effectively.

The Reason Why You Get White Heads

acnenomoreThose nasty bumps on your face that swell up into mounds filled with puss do not happen for no reason. Your kin produces white heads when oils, serum and obstructions in the blood create a clog in your pores. When the pore gets clogged it closes up and is not able to get any oxygen. The absence of oxygen cause them to change color, then bacteria builds up and causes the infected pore to swell with puss.

The skin on your face is especially prone to this type of infection, that is why white heads pop up mostly on the face, especially around the mouth where the oils are the heaviest. If you want to solve this disgusting problem you’re going to need to be persistent in washing your face with warm water. Try to rinse your face with warm water for 2-5 minutes every time you eat something. You can do this as many times a day as you want, just remember to rinse with cold water when you are done, to close the pores back up.

Another nice little home remedy for this problem. A lot of people like to boil water and then let it steam, then they hold their face over the steaming water for five to ten minutes.. The steam will draw the dirt out of the pores and prevent acne from occurring. Once the pores have been loosened, gently press the bumps so the puss seeps out. Do not pinch them or scratch them as this will cause scarring. Once again you should use cold water or an ice cube to close the pores, this will prevent dirt from re-entering the freshly opened pores.

Another thing that will help you, is a good acne product. Do not overuse your acne treatment as it may do you more harm then good, by drying out the skin. If you’re looking for a solid acne treatment at an affordable price than I would recommend you consider the Acne No More solution.
